Republicans Urge Community to Attend Special Council Meeting on District 3 Appointment

Chula Vista, CA – The Republican community of Chula Vista is calling on all residents to join them at the special City Council meeting on Tuesday, January 31st at 5:00 pm. The council will be continuing its vote on the appointment of the District 3 City Councilmember.

This is a crucial moment for the community, and it is imperative that residents come out and make their voices heard. Our goal is to have at least 100 people at the meeting, sending a clear message to the council that we will not be ignored.

The Democrats on the council and their allies expected a smooth appointment process for this vacancy, but the Republican community’s participation in the process has upset their plans. This is the last meeting before the February 3rd deadline for appointment, and we need to make it our strongest showing yet.

This special meeting is focused solely on the District 3 appointment, with the agenda item 4.1 titled: “District 3 City Councilmember Vacancy: Possible Action to Make an Appointment to Fill the Vacancy For the Remaining Term and Administer the Oath of Office to the Newly Appointed Councilmember (Continued from January 24, 2023 City Council Meeting).”

We encourage everyone to come out and support this important cause. Bring your family and friends and help us send a powerful message to the City Council that the Republican community will not be silenced.

Please let us know if you will be joining us at the meeting. We need to work together to ensure that our voices are heard and our community is represented.
