Assembly District 76 candidate Dr. Melanie Burkholder will be hosting weekly virtual town halls every Thursday, beginning this Thursday at 3 P.M. Viewers can ask questions about the issues that matter to them, with Dr. Burkholder’s experience providing her the knowledge and expertise needed during this time.
To join the town hall, voters will need to “Like” and “Follow” her Facebook page. They can then join her town hall event by clicking “Going” here, and come to her Facebook page a few minutes early to view the livestream. Attendees are highly encouraged to submit questions early to ensure that they’re answered.
This is just one of the many fantastic community outreach projects that Burkholder has been participating in to help connect with the community during the COVID-19 pandemic. She recently started a Go Fund Me page to raise money for our first responders and local small businesses, and her outreach group “Mel’s Belles” and “76ers” dispatched to two Oceanside Fire Stations to deliver food last week.
Since regular campaigning isn’t possible during these circumstances, Burkholder started “Cooking with the Candidate,” an Instagram Live series in which she cooks on a livestream while answering viewer questions.
Burkholder will continue her community outreach throughout the crisis. She’s done an outstanding job so far, but still needs your help and would love to hear your insight.
