Widely acclaimed for his corruption and incompetence, Governor Gavin Newsom has now added an ally to assist in the furthering of his diabolical political agenda. On November 21, Newsom chose Mark Arabo, prior president of the Neighborhood Market Association, to serve on the California Workforce Development Board.
The California Workforce Development Board is responsible for the overall management of training and education programs for members, which include financial and administrative duties. As of last month, Arabo was appointed to the position by Governor Newsom, but the appointment serves as highly problematic given Arabo’s corrupt history.
Two years before receiving the new position, Arabo was accused and found guilty of using his organization to pay his own personal expenses disguised as various reimbursements. Quoting the written ruling by Superior Court Judge Richard E.L. Strauss with regard to the evidence against Arabo:
“He misused the NMA credit card, lied to the board to justify a $210,000 bonus, lied to obtain a $38,000 ‘expense reimbursement,’ oversaw the unlawful transfer of $100,000 from the NMA Education Foundation and used it for non-charitable purposes, and undertook a tax-avoidance scheme with respect to his ‘personal expense account.’”
In short, Mark Arabo embezzled from his non-profit to pay his own bills. As a result of the lawsuit, Arabo was liable for re-paying $248,000 back to the Neighborhood Market Association.
In no surprise, Governor Newsom was completely aware of Arabo’s corrupt history and the results from the recent lawsuit prior to nominating him to the state board. Newsom, one of the most unethical and corrupt Californian politicians, would, of course, want a similarly corrupt Californian Democrat serving on his state board. Together, they can conspire schemes that will inevitably harm Californians while conveniently benefiting their political careers.
More broadly, the actions on behalf of Governor Newsom are completely reflective of the current narrative being displayed by California Democrats. Hypocrisy and corruption have now equated to powerful rewards and become an abysmal prerequisite needed to enter California politics.
In the end, Arabo’s appointment is just another perfect example of California Democrats’ absolute and complete disregard for honesty or accountability. They are willing to encourage and foster corruption while isolating anyone who dares to refute their plans.
Likewise, their focus has shifted solely to political advancement regardless of the consequences produced. Rest assured the California Democrats have ensured they are fiercely dedicated to “transparency” and serving their constituents—as long as it fits their agenda.
