The California Exodus

High taxes, homelessness and crime are driving Californians out of the state in record numbers.  Utility rates and gas prices are high, homelessness is a public health crisis and soft on crime policies are hurting our communities and businesses. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, California’s total population declined by more than 500,000 between April 2020 and July 2022. San Diego alone decreased 11,183 residents since July 2020, the first contraction in more than a decade. The lack of real action and solutions by Sacramento politicians is undeniable.

“The California exodus is evidence that far-left policies are crushing California families. I’m staying and I’m going to fight for our families and future generations that deserve to stay and raise their families here.”

I know California can do better!

I am committed to reducing the skyrocketing costs of living and affordability challenges our families face. As a policy leader on homelessness, I see firsthand that Sacramento has failed our most vulnerable. Everyone deserves a path off the streets. My work on behalf of child crime victims tells me that our criminal justice system is failing us. Our families deserve to feel safe in their communities. I will fight for common sense policies that keep our communities safe where our children are protected.
