Last night, Hillary Clinton came out of the woods to appear on every liberals favorite talk show, MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show”. Clinton praised the job that Biden has done and said that those who disapprove of the job Biden has done don’t understand or “appreciate” what he has done. Clinton said, “You know, a lot of people got, oh I think, kind of frustrated looking at the messy process of legislation. And they didn’t really appreciate that, within a year, the Biden administration has passed two major pieces of legislation”. Clinton was referring to the coronavirus relief bill and infrastructure bill.
Clinton also spoke about social media misinformation and how Republicans are apparently spreading misinformation on purpose as a way to win and exploit fears, “The way we are getting our information today, and because of the lack of gatekeepers and people who have a historic perspective who can help us understand what we are seeing, there is a real vulnerability in the electorate to the kind of demagoguery and disinformation that, unfortunately, the other side is really good at exploiting”. It is safe to say that Hillary Clinton still thinks she won the 2016 election if not for Russian “disinformation”.
Clinton joins many other Democrats including President Biden in questioning the grasp that many Americans have on economic issues such as the supply crisis and government spending. Earlier this month Biden mocked Americans intelligence on the supply chain crisis when he was asked about it, “If we were all going out and having lunch together and I said, ‘Let’s ask whoever’s in the next table, no matter what restaurant we’re in, have them explain the supply chain to us.’ Do you think they’d understand what we’re talking about?”
Democrats are already looking at a massive loss in the 2022 midterm elections, and America already got a glimpse of that in the Virginia gubernatorial race when Glenn Youngkin upset Terry McAuliffe. McAuliffe is closely tied to the Clintons and some saw his defeat not only as bad news for the Democrats but the beginning of the end for the Clinton political machine. The comments that Clinton gave show that the Democrats think they are smarter and know more than the average American, but if you ask most people regardless of their education, I think they could explain why things have gone so bad for this administration and their party.
