Parents Threatened by CRT Defender During School Board Meeting

Written by Amanda Angulo

Parents from Fort Worth were threatened by a  CRT defender who claimed he had “over 1,000 soldiers ready to go,” while mentioning that they are also “locked and loaded” for next time. Many parents now fear the threat is real and are afraid for their lives after the CRT defender’s threat.

The defender  has been identified as Malikk Austin, attended the Fort Worth Independent School District board meeting on Nov. 9th and spoke up about his leftist views on Critical Race Theory. The meeting was livestreamed on YouTube.  The livestream has garnered almost 100,000 views and many comments pointing out Austin’s inflammatory comments.

“For those who got an issue with the critical race theory equity, this is something I fight for, for my children,” Austin stated, before threatening the crowd to bring his soldiers with him next time.

Many in the audience were shouting that he should be addressing the school board, not the public. Austin responded to this by shouting, “my First Amendment rights!”

After his minute on the stand was up, officers had to escort him out of the room. During this interaction, he shouted on his way out “I’ll bring my soldiers with me next time…locked and loaded,” after a heated interaction with stay-at-home mom, Hollie Plemmons. Plemmons had spoken at the meeting before Austin and mentioned CRT in her speech to the board.

After she asked, “Did you just threaten me?” Austin repeated in response, “locked and loaded.” Plemmons said that she is certain that Austin’s remarks were threats and not to be taken lightly, “Locked’ means when you are putting your cartridge or your clip in and ‘loaded’ means you have a bullet in the chamber.”

Throughout this entire interaction, the school board did nothing to interrupt him, while it is almost religion for them to silence those who are disruptive. This shows a clear double standard due to their favor of CRT being embedded into the school curriculum.

A grandmother of four, Carlo Guarneri stated that “everyone there felt threatened.” She also claims that Austin has previously attended a school board meeting in August wearing “tactical gear”. She further mentioned that she “Was thinking about calling [her] husband and having him come to the parking lot,” due to her fear of walking to her car alone.

Austin claims that his repeated phrase of “locked and loaded” was not a threat but as a way to say, “prepare and get ready.”
