San Diego’s Independent Redistricting Commission or IRC is meeting tomorrow to discuss the redistribution of land across the five San Diego Districts to reflect the ever-changing population.
The meeting is scheduled to be held at 4:00 pm on August 12, between 14 selected members of the IRC, and can be viewed with the following link.
\Redistricting routinely occurs every ten years after the federal census to redraw district lines based on shifting populations. The aim of the meeting is to balance each district so that about 650,000 people reside in each zone.
