This year’s Major League Baseball all-star game, which has traditionally taken place in Atlanta, Georgia, has been moved. According to MLB Commissioner Manfred, the relocation is “the best way to demonstrate our values as a sport,” in response to newly passed election reforms.
Georgia’s new voting laws have been severely and intentionally mischaracterized by the mainstream media and were even likened to Jim Crow in an irresponsible comment by President Biden. Biden’s comments were so outrageous, the very liberal Washington Post gave him 4 Pinocchios, the worst rating one can receive.
In reality, the legislation increases the ability for people to vote and addresses election integrity issues that arose from the 2020 election.
“But experts say the net effect was to expand the opportunities to vote for most Georgians, not limit them,” reads the Washington Post fact check.
President Biden has also incorrectly claimed that the reforms ban refreshments at polling places.
In an attempt to be “woke,” the MLB, decided to boycott Georgia’s new election law by moving the all-star game to Colorado. It is worth noting that Colorado has voter-ID laws.
The MLB’s knee-jerk move was uninformed and will only serve to harm Georgian’s who will now miss out on the revenue and other benefits the game would have brought to the state. The current President’s contribution to the misinformation about Georgia’s election legislation is only adding fuel to the flames and provides encouragement for corporations to spread half-correct or blatantly incorrect statements.
