Ed Musgrove has won the election for San Marcos City Council District 4. Musgrove is a veteran, retired San Diego Sheriff’s Captain, and is a current San Marcos Traffic Commissioner.

One of Musgrove’s main priorities as Councilman is public safety. As a former police captain, he knows how to protect the citizens of San Marcos and what steps should be taken to increase public safety.

Another priority for Musgrove is housing. He wants to work with local developers in order to make housing available for all citizens of San Marcos.

“We must seize the opportunity now to forecast our near and long-term goals to ensure the San Marcos of tomorrow is what we all envision – a prosperous family-oriented city where everyone has a home that meets their needs.”

Musgrove has been supported by numerous groups and individuals in the community. He has been endorsed by San Diego County Sheriff Bill Gore, Supervisor Jim Desmond, State Senator Brian Jones and the Latino American Political Association.

When endorsing him, the president of the LAPA stated, “On behalf of the Latino American Political Association of San Diego County, it is my great pleasure to inform you of our overwhelming decision to endorse you in your candidacy for San Marcos City Council.  We are confident you will serve the community with integrity and honor.”

In addition to those endorsements, Musgrove was endorsed by The Republican Party of San Diego County. The party coordinated volunteers, sent out mailers, and made thousands of calls and texts to voters across the county because they know Ed Musgrove will work for the citizens of San Marcos and honorably serve the city.
