Bomb Squad Called to La Jolla

The Bomb Squad was called into La Jolla today.

“We are actively investigating an incident in the in the 6000 block of La Jolla Hermosa Avenue,” in Bird Rock, San Diego police spokesman Scott Lockwood told NBC 7 on Tuesday.

Few details are available at the moment, but according to NBC, there were several cop cars, a police motorcycle, and a bomb squad fire truck in the area around 1:15 pm. Little activity could be seen.

Around 1:30, there was a discussion between nine of the first responders on-site, including a bomb squad member wearing heavy protective clothing. The discussion was short and the group disbanded after, including the bomb squad member, who headed back to the bomb squad vehicle.

Officers began removing tape and wrapping things up around 1:40.
