Recall of Oceanside District 1 Councilmember Esther Sanchez

A large group of Oceanside District 1 taxpayers are uniting in a grassroots effort to recall Councilmember Esther Sanchez for gross neglect of her civil duties to include but not limited to:

1. Mrs. Sanchez has opposed affordable housing, public safety, business growth, and traffic relief planning at the expense of the Oceanside community’s quality of life.

2. Mrs. Sanchez has failed to address the permanent housing needs of Oceanside children experiencing homelessness.

3. Under Mrs. Sanchez’s leadership, emergency response times have doubled.

3. During Mrs. Sanchez’s 20 years as a Councilmember, a growing $230,000,000 pension deficit has amassed, which will now become the responsibility of Oceanside taxpayers with no hope for future resolution.

An official “Notice of Intention to Circulate Recall Petition” for Council Member Esther Sanchez has been successfully submitted to Oceanside City Clerk Zeb Navarro. The taxpayers will begin collecting signatures to recall Councilmember Sanchez immediately following the certification and approval of the “Notice of Intention to Circulate Recall Petition” for Councilmember Esther Sanchez, by Mr. Navarro.
