Candidate Profile: Mike Palomba for San Diego Community College District Board

Mike Palomba is running for San Diego Community College Board as the endorsed candidate of the Republican Party of San Diego County.

Mike is an accelerated student, non-profit volunteer, and news writer.

He was born in Staten Island, New York and lived there for 18 years. At the time of his high school graduation, Mike had already completed nearly two semesters of college credit. In 2017, he began attending San Diego State University.

Mike serves as a volunteer for a non-profit that works to get people out to vote. This has given him the privilege of interacting with voters firsthand and learning what is important to them.

If elected, Mike would like to change the priorities of the school board. As a student himself, he knows what students need most. He would like to maximize student access, reduce cost barriers like expensive textbooks and course materials, ensure fiscal responsibility of the board so that every penny goes towards helping students, and work with the community so the board can adapt to its needs.
