Melanie Burkholder has continued working diligently on her campaign for California’s 76th Assembly district, despite the coronavirus making traditional in-person campaigning methods impossible. She recently welcomed two new members to her campaign team, and is continuing to grow her social media outreach to connect with the community in these trying times.
Anya Wietholter is taking up the helm as Communications Director. Burkholder’s campaign states that “she currently works as a Routing Consultant with a background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Logistics and Office Communications, and has extensive successful experience in leveraging social media channels.”
Armen Kurdian has joined on as the new Political Director. He’s “a retired Navy Captain and Naval Flight Officer with 25 years of service and extensive experience in Defense Acquisition, Systems Engineering, and an MBA from Cornell University.”
Additionally, Burkholder has been reaching out to the community on how best to cope during this crisis through her Vimeo channel, as well as Facebook and Instagram Live videos. Among these is “Cooking with Melanie,” which focuses on staying positive and busy with an emphasis on family. It has already received a ton of positive feedback from viewers.
