Last year, Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez authored a ridiculous and economy stunting bill known as AB 5. The law aims to eliminate the free-lancing industry—an industry that has provided crucial jobs to San Diego citizens everywhere.
Yet, taking away jobs from San Diegans is just not enough to satisfy Gonzalez’s overwhelming hunger for power. She is now interested in stripping away private property from San Diegans in her absolutely pathetic attempt to “solve” the housing crisis.
It’s no secret that San Diego is struggling to match the housing supply with the ever-growing housing demand. Moreover, it’s no secret that elected officials like Assemblywoman Gonzalez have failed to mitigate the issue. Her inadequacy and incompetence with regard to the housing issue is yet another example of her inability to uphold her duty as a San Diego elected official.
It’s her job to produce resolutions that will ultimately help bring San Diego out of the current crisis. However, she continues to disappoint citizens with her ineffective and unproductive ways. It’s clear that her motives are politically expedient and malicious.
In a recent clip, Assemblywoman Gonzalez implies the only way to resolve the housing crisis is by giving up on the notion of private property. Moreover, she implies the concept of owning private property as preposterous and unrealistic. Then, towards the end of the clip, she “apologizes” for taking land while simultaneously smiling and chuckling.
How does anyone in San Diego with a ‘yard’ or a frontal lobe keep voting for this two legged imbecile?! https://t.co/NyHjGJnSVm

Not only is the behavior unbecoming, it indicates that she feels no remorse for the damage it would inflict on San Diegans. It’s appalling and quite pitiful to see an elected official from San Diego—time and time again—cowardly refusing to come up with a concrete solution to her own city’s issues.
Instead of working or fighting for a resolution that would address the housing problem and produce tangible results, she once again chooses a route that disadvantages constituents and worsens the crisis at hand.
Assemblywoman Gonzalez is after jobs today and land tomorrow. She has no interest in actually alleviating the crisis, but is instead finding ways that merely give off the appearance of doing so and conveniently bolster her political platform. Her political behavior is disgraceful and quite frankly, San Diegans have had more than enough of Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez.
