San Diego City Council Candidate Noli Zosa Picking Up Steam Heading into Primary Election

On Sunday, Noli Zosa hosted yet another successful campaign event in his run for San Diego City Council. Zosa has continually gained support from members of the community, as well as a plethora of endorsements from notable figures like Mayor Kevin Faulconer, Father Joe Carroll, Councilman Chris Cate, County Supervisors Dianne Jacob and Jim Desmond, State Senators Brian Jones and Pat Bates, and so many more.

Zosa is an experienced leader who understands the major issues that San Diegans are dealing with. He’s a small business owner and a longtime community advocate who has lived in his City Council district for nearly 30 years. Zosa studied at the University of San Diego, earning his undergraduate and law degrees there. He has worked with many local organizations, including YMCA, the San Diego Parks and Recreation Board, the Mt. Soledad Veterans War Memorial, the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce, and the Asian Business Association. He truly is a valuable member of his community, a feature that few elected officials can honestly say.

Few people have the knowledge and firsthand experience of Noli Zosa to understand the challenges San Diego faces, and his policy priorities illustrate this perfectly. Zosa sees homelessness, housing, the economy, safety, and infrastructure as the key issues that need to be addressed—and he’s exactly right.

While virtually everyone recognizes homelessness as a problem, Zosa articulates the underlying causes of homelessness as well as anyone: problems like housing costs, domestic violence, substance abuse, and mental health issues. Without making significant progress on these root causes, little can be done to ameliorate the homelessness crisis. Zosa’s nuanced understanding of this issue applies to many others as well, showing just how prepared he is to bring a fresh vision to San Diego.

Zosa’s campaign started hot and has maintained the momentum through the end of the year, which bodes well for the primary election in March. Zosa is a rare transcendent candidate who connects with San Diegans from all walks of life, while having the sophisticated knowledge and experience to put his plans into action.
