50th Congressional Candidates Forum: The Battle for Votes Continues

HUNTER is out! The 50th Congressional District’s wide open! Democrats look to flip; the Jungle Primary
helps, and they’ll battle just as mail-in ballots go out.

CANDIDATES COME TOGETHER
Candidates, Ammar Campa-Najjar (D), Carl DeMaio (R), and Darrell Issa (R) come together for a forum at the
Maxine Theater in beautiful, rural Valley Center, Friday, Feb. 7, 2020.

William Del Pilar, Valley Center Business Association President, stated, “I thank the candidates for accepting
our invitation, as their time and schedules are tight. With Duncan Hunter’s exit, it’s the first time the 50th has
been this wide open since most can remember.

“It will be a battle – a barnburner, and it’s receiving national attention. Regardless of that attention, constituents want to hear from these candidates firsthand. We expect this forum to help them make a final decision
on who’s best suited to represent us.”

THE REST OF THE FIELD
There is no final decision toward other candidates as campaign research continues.
