SACRAMENTO – The California Chamber of Commerce (CalChamber) has awarded Senator Patricia Bates (R-Laguna Niguel) a perfect score (18-0) in its 2019 Vote Record. She is one of only nine state senators to have received a perfect score.
“CalChamber’s vote record provides Californians a measuring stick to judge their legislators on how they vote,” said Senator Bates. “I thank CalChamber for its recognition of my work to protect economic opportunity in every part of our state. The fight to protect our economy takes place every year in the Legislature and I look forward to continuing that fight next year.”
CalChamber is a non-profit organization representing more than 14,000 companies of all sizes. It highlighted 18 bills this year that were deemed a priority. These bills include AB 161, which would have banned paper receipts and complicated efforts to prevent shoplifting; and SB 1, which would have threatened reliable water supplies for farms.
