San Diego Police Officers Association and La Mesa Police Officers Association Endorse Supervisor Candidate Mayor Steve Vaus.

The Vaus for Supervisor campaign has received the endorsement of two important local law enforcement groups, the La Mesa Police Officers Association, and the San Diego Police Officers Association.

In announcing the San Diego POA endorsement, Jack Schaeffer, the president of the association, said, “Mayor Vaus is clearly an exceptionally qualified candidate and will be an outstanding Supervisor. It’s a challenging time for law enforcement officers and we are confident that Steve Vaus will be a strong supporter of the officers who patrol our neighborhoods.”

La Mesa POA President Colin Atwood said, “Mayor Steve Vaus has demonstrated his commitment to public safety and his willingness to stand with the men and women who keep our communities safe.  We know that as our County Supervisor, he will continue to be a supporter of law enforcement and an outstanding representative for the citizens of La Mesa and East County.”

“I am proud to receive the endorsements of the police officers on the beat in San Diego and La Mesa and am grateful for their support for my campaign.  Government’s most basic obligation is to ensure public safety and, as Supervisor, I will make support for law enforcement my highest priority,” said Mayor Vaus.
