The El Cajon Police Officers’ Association (ECPOA) has endorsed Poway Mayor Steve Vaus in his bid for San Diego County Supervisor in District 2. ECPOA Political Action Committee Chairman Mike Murphy said, “Steve Vaus has a very strong record on public safety in his city of Poway. Because of his record, we are confident that he will make safe streets a priority on the Board of Supervisors.”
“Once we make an endorsement, we support that candidate all the way. We want the people of the 2nd Supervisorial District to know that Steve Vaus is the choice of those in law enforcement,” Murphy continued.
“I am grateful to the El Cajon Police Officers’ Association for their support and endorsement. As Supervisor, I intend to do all that I can to make support for law enforcement a top priority,” said Vaus.
The ECPOA represents the men and women of the El Cajon Police Department who protect and serve the public every minute of every day. Their priorities are protecting the pay, benefits, and working conditions of the membership while helping the community through donations, sponsorships, and charitable events.
The City of El Cajon is the largest incorporated city in the district and the 6th largest incorporated city in San Diego County.
