SAN DIEGO, CA — Former San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer, candidate for San Diego County Supervisor, announced the endorsement of the San Diego Working Waterfront, formerly known as the San Diego Port Tenant’s Association. The latest endorsement continues to show his growing momentum since launching his campaign earlier this year.
Formerly known as the San Diego Port Tenants Association, San Diego Working Waterfront is a large coalition of businesses and industries dedicated to enhancing trade, recreation, commerce, and tourism on San Diego Bay’s tidelands, while steadfastly protecting the area’s environment. The businesses involved generate more than 9.4 billion to the regional economy, employing more than 70,000 San Diegans.

As the Mayor of San Diego, Faulconer worked tirelessly with local providers to provide safe and sanitary shelter for thousands of struggling San Diegans. As Mayor, working in tandem with the City Council and community leaders, Faulconer led City efforts to implement a firm but compassionate approach to homelessness. These efforts proved successful, helping to clean up the streets and reduce the number of people living on the streets in unsanitary conditions.
