Washington – Senior Member of the House Judiciary Committee Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48) today questioned Attorney General Merrick Garland on the weaponization of the current Justice Department and what he described as a “crisis of confidence” that has greatly damaged the DOJ.
“What this Garland testimony revealed to us is that the Attorney General realizes he is presiding over the Department of Justice in the most severe crisis since Watergate — with the shattered credibility to show for it,” said Issa. “The slow walk of the Hunter Biden investigation and the scandal of the DOJ’s attempted sweetheart immunity deal have taken a toll that no part of today’s testimony made better.”
