Despite the executive administration toting a gas price decrease after record-breaking gas prices, San Diegans may face another increase. The average gas price for a regular gallon of gas has risen again for the 13th consecutive day with little sign of dropping. It has now risen by 16.2¢ in just 13 days, something that all Californians may begin to experience as the California gas tax, which went into effect July 1st, increased by 5.6%. The average record that Californians faced was $6.37. It has now dropped by roughly 98¢ – that is until it began to rise again. The national average price for gas is still over 50¢ more than it was a year ago.
