Brian Maienschein’s Local Support Collapses

92% of Maienschein’s Contributors are PAC or Corporate Donors in His First Campaign Finance Disclosure Since Becoming a Democrat

(San Diego, CA) – Local financial support for Brian Maienschein’s re-election bid has collapsed, with 92% of his campaign donations coming from Sacramento-based PACs or corporate donors.

“Pretty hard to argue that you are a ‘community candidate’ when almost all your money comes from Sacramento,” said June Cutter’s campaign consultant Duane Dichiara. “June is a true community-focused candidate, and I believe she has a strong case to replace a career politician like Brian Maienschein in 2020.”
