Underground Drug Tunnel Found Connecting Tijuana and San Diego

Our border is out of control. Biden’s policies keep on failing again and again. This is the reason why we want to have a more secure border. This weekend, an underground cross-border tunnel was discovered from Tijuana to a warehouse in Otay Mesa. Six Southern California residents were charged with conspiring to distribute cocaine

It is about 1744 feet long, 61 feet deep with a 4-feet in diameter passageway.

However, on Friday, law enforcement found the tunnel that led towards Tijuana after following two people who used to have a stash house in National City for cocaine smuggling.

The tunnel was connected to a warehouse 300 feet north of the U.S.-Mexico border. Law enforcement found and confiscated 1,762 pounds of cocaine, 164 pounds of methamphetamine and 3.5 pounds of heroin. The value of the drugs was about $25 million.

U.S. Attorney Randy Grossman commented, “I’m very happy to report there’s no light at the end of this narco tunnel.” “We and our agency partners will continue to work zealously to take down every subterranean smuggling route and other means that drug traffickers use to bring illicit drugs into our community.”

U.S. Rep. Yvette Herrell, R-New Mexico said, “this open border is causing so many problems and so much harm to our neighborhoods all over the nation. It isn’t just about the southern border.”

Securing the border will protect our citizens and residents. This year it has a record number of unauthorized migrants and a worrisome spike in synthetic drugs like the deadly fentanyl being smuggled into the United States. Biden should reconsider his policies and should start caring about our people.
