I wanted to reach out personally to deliver the amazing news! The final filing deadline passed and I am officially running for reelection unopposed on the November ballot. That means I will have the honor of serving as your District Attorney for a second term.
I cannot begin to describe how grateful I am for your support and for sharing my goal of delivering justice, protecting the most vulnerable victims and keeping our neighborhoods safe. Every single one of our supporters has given so much to this movement and to our campaign, and it has made all the difference.
The outpouring support we received throughout this campaign has been truly humbling and reinforces to me our core mission: upholding the rule of law and never playing politics with San Diego’s safety. So truly, thank you. For everything.
It’s the honor of my life to serve as your District Attorney and I won’t ever stop fighting to protect every San Diegan in every neighborhood. Our office is making incredible progress by utilizing state-of-the-art DNA forensics to solve and prosecute cold case homicides, doubling down on hate crimes, ensuring all sexual assault kits are tested, giving non-violent youth offenders a second chance, and instituting innovative action on homelessness to address to the root of our crisis — Jordan, there’s still so much more to do.
By coming together and focusing on addressing public safety with real common sense solutions, San Diego remains one of the safest urban counties in America, and as your District Attorney, I’m ready to keep working my heart out so it stays that way.
I’m going to get back to work protecting every San Diegan in every neighborhood, but know that I’m thinking about you and your incredible support of my campaign.
