San Diego, CA – The Lincoln Club of San Diego County today announced its President, Brian Pepin, will join political consulting firm 1892 LLC as a Senior Vice President. Pepin will continue to serve as the lead political consultant for the Lincoln Club from his new position with 1892 LLC. Deputy Director Victor Lopez will take over Pepin’s role and serve as Executive Director of the Lincoln Club to manage the nonpartisan pro-business organization.
Brian Pepin will join 1892 LLC after more than five years with the Lincoln Club. 1892 LLC is a political consulting and polling firm known for their “Moneyball” approach to campaigns, navigating unpredictable political environments to elect Governors, Senators, and members of Congress, as well as local races across the country.
1892 LLC’s campaigns have won the Washington Post’s “Campaign of the Year” and POLITICO’s “Biggest Surprise” of the cycle. Their wins range from coast-to-coast, electing governors in blue states and red states. In Miami, they elected Maria Elvira Salazar to Congress, a free-market candidate in a majority-Latino Congressional seat that had been won by both Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden. In California, they oversaw Congressman Mike Garcia’s surprise upset victory in Los Angeles’ 25th Congressional District.
“I’ve spent two decades working to elect pro-business candidates across the country,” said Pepin. “I look forward to bringing my experience to 1892 during this important election cycle.”
A fourth generation San Diegan with twenty years of experience in campaigns and elections, Pepin has served as an advisor inside and outside of government to many of the state’s leading elected officials. He’s managed campaigns and directed PAC victories in San Diego, Orange County, the San Francisco Bay Area and the Midwest. Prior to his role as the lead political consultant for the Lincoln Club, Pepin served as a Senior Advisor to San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer and held leadership roles for numerous other elected officials.
Victor Lopez has served as Deputy Director of the Lincoln Club since November 2020. He was Campaign Manager for Noli Zosa for San Diego City Council and previously served in the offices of Councilmember Chris Cate and Mayor Kevin Faulconer.
Lopez will be the first Latino to lead the Lincoln Club and is the son of two Mexican immigrants. With Spanish as his first language, he learned English while attending elementary school in Chula Vista. Victor is a graduate of San Diego State University with a degree in Political Science.
“As the first Latino to head this organization, I’m proud to lead the Lincoln Club during this exciting time in American politics. As Executive Director, I’m implementing new tactics and strategies to elect political candidates who will fight for a better business environment and streamline regulatory burdens on small business owners,” said Lopez.
The Lincoln Club is a nonpartisan pro-business political action committee founded in 1983. The organization’s vision is one of a region where taxes are low, government is efficient and accountable, children receive a world-class education, regulations are reasonable, and business is encouraged.
