Poway, CA – Poway resident Brian Pepin announced today his campaign for City Council. Pepin is running in the November 2022 election for City Council District 1. This district, representing the western part of Poway, is currently held by Councilman Dave Grosch who, after serving three terms on the City Council, is rumored to be retiring from the City Council next year.
Pepin currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Poway Chamber of Commerce which is celebrating its 70th year advocating for Poway’s small businesses and creating opportunities for business owners to connect and build a better local economy. Pepin is also the Chairman of the City of Poway’s Budget Review Committee where he serves as a taxpayer watchdog, raising the alarm over rising costs and a tightening budget situation for the city. Additionally, Pepin is a member of Poway’s Kiwanis chapter and a member of the local Elks Lodge.
His campaign platform focuses on public safety. He’s endorsed by the Deputy Sheriff’s Association, representing the men and women of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department who work to keep Poway the safest city in San Diego County. Additionally, Pepin’s campaign is focusing on lowering taxes and a strong local economy.
Pepin is an accomplished public affairs consultant who has held leadership roles on political campaigns across the country, including Presidential campaigns, targeted Congressional contests, and some of the largest municipal races in the United States. In addition, Pepin is highly knowledgeable in public policy, having served as a senior policy advisor to numerous elected officials.
A campaign kickoff rally is scheduled for Thursday, October 7th at 5:30pm at the Hop Stop in Poway.
