MSNBC’S Anchor Slams Kamala Harris On Border

On Monday, Stephanie Ruhle, MSNBC’s anchor, criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for taking an absent role in the ongoing southern border crisis.

In March of this year, President Joe Biden appointed VP Harris as his point person on the southern border issue over six months ago. Yet, her lack of sympathy and responsibility on the matter has been questioned by many.

Recently, thousands of Haitian migrants have been flooding under the International Bridge in Del Rio, Texas, in which they expect to be processed into the U.S. It has been a chaotic scene as thousands began to come in every day, especially over the weekend, in which there were nearly 16,000 migrants under the bridge. Texas Governor Greg Abbott has determined that the situation is profoundly difficult and has even asked Biden for a federal emergency declaration.

“Thousands of families are immobilized in 100-degree heat as their numbers continue to swell as they wait to be processed by the approximately 64 federal agents in the area,” Gov. Abbot wrote in a letter to the President. “Individuals are camping in squalid conditions and bathing in muddy river water, causing great health concerns.”

On Monday, Ruhle asked, “how about the message from our Vice President?” She continued, “where is she? She was supposed to be in charge of all these migration issues, going to those Northern Triangle countries that are not Haiti.”

She also reminded the MSNBC viewers that during Harris’ trip to Guatemala, Harris told migrants “do not come.” But Ruhle noted that “people aren’t listening.”

NBC News Correspondent Julia Ainsley has even mentioned that considering the high levels of incoming migrants, she doubts that Biden and his administration will keep their promise to process migrants “in a safe, orderly and humane manner.”

Harris has never once taken this job seriously. Whenever she was asked to visit the border once recently appointed the main person in charge of the border crisis, she would laugh and point out that she “hadn’t been to Europe” either. It was the equivalent of a spit on the face to all border cities.
