According to a three-part study released Friday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Covid-19 vaccine effectiveness has decreased to 75% following the highly contagious Delta variant spread over the summer.
The first portion of the study concluded that unvaccinated individuals are roughly 4.5 times more likely to get infected and almost two and a half times more likely to be hospitalized after getting infected versus vaccinated persons.
The report comes just after the most atrocious health policy the Biden Administration has released to date: mandating all government employees and contractors be vaccinated to keep their jobs. This will result in thousands of people being discharged from their jobs over the next few weeks, which has a high probability of moving unemployment rates even higher than they currently stand.
Additionally, California’s top health agencies are pushing for a new booster shot in the coming months to combat the decreasing effectiveness of the vaccine and the substantial increase in infection rates since the beginning of June.
The three-part study, whose data comes from 13 districts across Los Angeles and New York City, gives detailed insight into the statistics of vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals.
According to one branch of the study, 600,000 infected people were examined for vaccine effectiveness. The study concluded that the vaccine significantly quelled severe Covid-19 cases. Conversely, the study found that the death and hospitalization ratios changed very little compared to the original and Delta variants of the virus.
One of the most notable reports of the study showed that the infection rates for vaccinated individuals increased significantly by 360%.
Interestingly, the rates have more than doubled in specific ways. Before the Delta variant, fully vaccinated people accounted for 5 percent of the cases, 8 percent of the deaths, and 7 percent of hospitalizations. However, the study concluded that after the variant took over, they accounted for 18 percent of the cases, 16 percent of the deaths, and 14 percent of the hospitalization rates.
As reports continue to detail CDC findings, vaccine rates continue to grow due to government mandates.
