Democrats Pass Bill Making Critical Race Theory A Graduation Requirement

A running gubernatorial candidate in the California recall election, Assemblyman Kevin Kiley, released a tweet on Wednesday in response to the passing of the AB 101 legislation in the State Assembly.

The bill states that it will be making “Critical Race Theory” a graduation requirement. Therefore,  assembly member Kiley, who is also the Vice-Chair of the Assembly Education Committee and former public high school English teacher, tweeted, “two years ago even Gavin Newsom called the curriculum ‘offensive in so many ways.’”

We are not surprised to see Newsom flip-flopping on issues or even following his own rules. Therefore, how can we know that his children will participate in this curriculum in their private schools and not just take them out instead? Could we potentially see an increase in independent studies and homeschooled individual students?

The bill has been aimed directly at public and charter high school graduation requirements, specifically. Additionally, the University of California and California State University school systems has already been adopted and approved. AB 101 will also be a requirement for the students graduating in the 2029-30 school year.

It is important to note that unsurprisingly, all the sponsors and writers of the bill are all Democratic minions to Gavin Newsom. This bill is dangerous to the education of our younger generation. Many critics are casting shame onto Newsom for deciding what to teach children when in reality, it should be their parents.
