Sudberry Properties reported that it has completed framing and begun interior construction at The Hub in Scripps Ranch, a mixed-use apartment and retail center that sits on 9.5 acres of land off the I-15.

Sudberry Properties has contributed much residential development to the County of San Diego, which, in return, has made the city prosperous. Since its inception, Sudberry Properties has developed approximately 12.6 million square feet of commercial and residential property with a market value exceeding $2.5 billion.

Once this project is complete, it will host 260 luxury apartments and 10,700 square feet for retail and restaurant space. Leasing companies include Starbucks, Dental Services, and also Big Cheech’s Chicken N’ Waffles. Leasing of the apartments starts in September, and occupancy should begin as early as October.

The buildings will offer 1-3 bedroom apartments, including private patios or balconies with fully-equipped kitchens and full-size washers and dryers. The apartments will also be pet-friendly and provide amenities for their residents, such as a pool with an outdoor lounge area, a fitness center, and a smoke-free living environment.

Colton Sudberry, president of Sudberry Properties, recently said that they “have been planning The Hub at Scripps Ranch for several years and have collaborated with local leaders to create a vibrant residential and commercial center with much-needed workforce housing and restaurants. We’re confident that The Hub will make a vital contribution to the wonderful community of Scripps Ranch, including the surrounding businesses.” This development arrives at an excellent time for San Diego, as the county is desperate for more residential infrastructure.
