Democrat Senator Accused Of Belonging To Racist Country Club

Everything is racist, says the left. The Democratic party has labeled everything and anything as hateful if it opposes their radical plan, such as decrying the Georgia voting laws as reminiscent of Jim Crow and attacking former President Trump at every turn. They can find bigotry wherever they look, except members of their party.

This week Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), a self-proclaimed progressive, got into hot water when he defended Bailey’s Beach Club against allegations of racism. The senator and his family have been long-standing members of the club for generations. Bailey’s Beach Club reportedly has only white members, though both the club and Whitehouse have downplayed these claims. When pressed on this issue, Whitehouse’s only defense was that “it’s a long tradition in Rhode Island,” and “I think we need to just work our way through the issues.”

Whitehouse promised to leave the elite club, but that was back in 2006 when he first ran for the Senate. Since then, Whitehouse has also only offered fake apologies and promises to do better in the future. His Senior Spokeswoman, when questioned, said that the club did have diverse members of the club but could not provide specific numbers of how many minority members belonged to the exclusive club.

This shows the utter hypocrisy of the left as they only police the other side for every comment they make but refuse to hold other left-wingers to the same standard. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse is not racist against minorities, and to claim so would cheapen that word. But judging by how the Democrats have turned their head and looked the other way shows that they live by the standard of rules for thee but not for me.
