San Diego County Gun Owners Host A Showing of “The Plot Against The President” This Friday

San Diego County Gun Owners (SDCGO), a political action committee promoting Second Amendment rights, will host a screening of “The Plot Against the President,” a documentary film about the attempted coup against President Trump.

The screening, open to the public, will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Friday, June 11, at the Legacy Center Theatre, 875 Hotel Circle South, San Diego in Mission Valley.

Tickets are $50 per person for general admission or $150 per person, which includes a VIP reception starting at 5:30 p.m. A raffle also will be held with proceeds benefiting SDCGO.

The documentary, based on the bestselling book by Lee Smith, tells the story about Congressman Devin Nunes uncovering the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign based on a falsified dossier paid for by an opposition candidate and the subsequent conspiracy to sabotage an elected President.

Attending the screening to answer questions will be documentary director Amanda Milius and Kash Patel, former senior counsel for the House Select Committee on Intelligence. Radio talk-show host Carl DeMaio will moderate the question-and-answer session.

The film features a slate of interviews with first-hand recollection and analysis from prominent political figures, including members of Congress and presidential advisers. Interviewees include Congressmen Devin Nunes, Jim Jordan, Matt Gaetz, Lee Zeldin, and Mike Turner, along with Rick Grenell, Corey Lewandowski, Sidney Powell, Donald Trump Jr., Kash Patel, Rudy Giuliani, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Mike Cernovich, Roger Stone, K.T. McFarland, Jack Posobiec, Tom Fitton, John Solomon, Sebastian Gorka, Raheem Kassam, Michael Anton, Jack Langer, Lee Smith, and John O’Conner.

The film, a production of Wollman Productions and 1AMDC Productions, tells the story about a coup engineered by a coterie of the American establishment elite, targeting not only the President, but the whole country. The plot began with the FBI opening a counterintelligence investigation on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign based on a falsified dossier paid for by an opposition candidate. It was an operation to sabotage a President and many U.S. private citizens. The conspirators included political operatives, the highest law enforcement, and intelligence officials in the country, and especially the press.

The documentary is the true story of how Congressman Devin Nunes uncovered the operation to bring down the President of the United States. Nunes understood that the target of the operation wasn’t just Trump, but rather the institutions that sustain our republic. A country where operatives use the intelligence and security services to hold power by spying on Americans, coordinating with the press, and using extra-constitutional means to undermine an election and try to undo a presidency, is more like the third world than the republic envisioned by the founding fathers. Without Nunes and his team, the plot against the President, and against the country, never would have been revealed.

Based on its membership size of more than 2,600 individuals, SDCGO is considered as San Diego’s largest registered PAC as well as civil rights organization, according to Michael Schwartz, SDCGO executive director.

Founded in 2015, San Diego County Gun Owners is a registered political action committee (FPPC ID #1379388) and advocacy organization focused on organizing the gun industry and community and protecting the U.S. Constitution’s Second Amendment right to bear arms. SDCGO features a diverse and inclusive membership with representatives of the LGBT, Latino, African American, Asian and Pacific Islander communities. While every U.S. state has a Second Amendment PAC, along with several nationwide gun rights PACs, the SDCGO is believed to be America’s first, strictly local, countywide Second Amendment advocacy organization.
