Mail in voting already problematic, H.R 1 would only make it worse

Last week, when I heard Brett Winterbles’ voice hosting the Rush Limbaugh Show, I was so pleased as he had become my favorite talk show host to tune into on each day when he was with 760 KFMB in San Diego. Brett was a close to Rush as I could get for thinking like a dedicated American and expressing that thought to his listeners.  I should not have been surprised about his accomplishment to take the helm for Rush because he had a decade of work under his belt already from producing the show for the famous icon that we have just lost recently.

Brett opened the show and praised Russ for his work and took a few calls from listeners and later talked about his move to the Carolinas from Carlsbad California to host the radio talk show WBT Charlotte News Talk.  He then proceeded to work on getting the registration on his car changed from California to North Carolina.

He said working with the San Diego Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) was an effort in itself, however, the tag and paperwork were processed and by mid-summer 2020, received in the mail.

Around October, a big surprise appears in the mail!  It was a Ballot from the San Diego Register of Voters for Brett to vote in the San Diego General Presidential election!!! Needless to say, it was an awe moment.

One wonders what mechanics in the system between the DMV and the ROV could allow for voting to occur for a resident in another state?  Why wouldn’t the ROV see that the address of the mailer was NOT in California and question why ballots are being mailed to other states?

H.R. 1 will create automatic voter registration across the country, ensure that individuals who have completed felony sentences have their full voting rights restored, expand early voting and enhance absentee voting, simplify voting by mail, reduce long lines and wait times for voters and modernize America’s voting system.

Folks, HR1 is a recipe for killing the American Dream.  Call, write and make contact with your congressmen to STOP HR1 in its tracks.
