Rep. Mike Levin one of 47 Democrats on NRCC Hit List for 2022

The Executive Director of the National Republican Congressional Committee, John Billings, has released a hit list of Democrats.

47 Democrats are being targeted to be held accountable for their socialist agenda and for being out of touch with their constituents.

The agenda that the Democrats are pushing is too extreme for the middle-class families, Billings said.

The list is divided into three categories: Battleground, Underperforming Democrats, and Redistricting Watch.

Representative Mike Levin of the 49th district has been categorized as an underperforming Democrat. Levin, and seven others on the list, had won their races in the 2020 election by fewer than 10 percentage points and underperformed Joe Biden on the presidential ballot.

Billings also mentions that Rep. Levin and Rep. Katie Porter of the mid-south Orange County “… have consistently taken far-left votes and are out of touch with their constituents. In 2020, Porter and Levin underperformed President Biden by 4.4% and 6.5%, respectively. With Democrats only moving further to the left.”

In the 2020 election, Democrat Levin had won by 6.3 percentage points.

Billings also compares the budget between the NRCC and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee “… that means Republicans’ financial advantage is over $5.6 million”.

According to opensecrets.org, a nonpartisan, nonprofit research group, the NRCC spent less than $300 million in the 2020 elections, whereas the DCCC spent over $300 million during the two-year cycle.

Billings concludes the list by stating “the NRCC enters this cycle with more net cash on hand than the DCCC, and House Republicans are fully prepared to bring the fight to House Democrats. With a proven record of strong candidate recruitment, aggressive messaging and the necessary resources, Republicans will win back the House in 2022.”
