Republican Caylin Frank Wins Poway City Council Seat

The City of Poway will be welcoming Republican Party of San Diego County endorsed candidate Caylin Frank to the District 4 City Council seat once again, after she handily won re-election against opponents Chris Olps and Frank Fournier. She has been part of the City Council since 2018, after being unanimously nominated by the Council Members to fill a vacancy created by Jim Cunningham’s resignation. In November of that same year, she officially won her first election to the Council.

At only 34 years old, Caylin has been able to gain excellent experience through hard work and her passion for public service. Caylin graduated from the University of San Diego in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and government. She has worked as Senior Policy Advisor in San Diego County for eleven years with County Supervisor Bill Horn and served as Chair’s Assistant for Supervisor Greg Cox. She was also an intern for the U.S House of Representatives for two years. The myriad of experience Caylin has had in local government made her the best candidate for City Council.

During her upcoming term, Caylin plans to focus on long term decisions that will continue to help the city prosper. By prioritizing public safety, protecting taxpayer dollars, supporting small businesses and promoting the local economy, as well as advocating for park enhancements and responsible growth, Caylin will make sure that Powaw remains a great place to live, and that it only gets better during her term.

Caylin’s passionate campaign, in addition to the Republican party’s support, made her re-election possible. Through precinct walking, phone banking, mailers, and more, Caylin’s strong message was able to be spread to Poway voters, and those voters picked her to be their City Councilwoman.
