To my family, friends, supporters, donors: To say you are amazing is an understatement. This has been the most INNOVATIVE campaign ever and as the final ballot numbers roll in (and it looks like the results will not be in our favor) I want you to know how much I appreciate the tireless efforts of all my supporters.
We not only accomplished grassroots campaigning (knocking on thousands of doors while practicing ‘social distancing’ and making phone calls), but also, we thought critically and did things that you likely have never seen, like: “Cooking with the Candidate,” “It’s 3pm and I’m checking in” & “Convo with a Candidate.” Those approaches, in the midst of COVID-19, were not only welcomed but also embraced. Thank you for your commitment to detail as we swam through the murky and ever-changing seas in North County, San Diego.
You should be so proud of yourselves! We ran an honorable campaign in a truly David vs. Goliath fight! We should never give up on our community, state, or country! And please know that I will never stop fighting for you, because straightening out California must be accomplished for our children and grandchildren to see it’s potential and to realize theirs.
Personally, I have no regrets, and I am both thankful and humbled that you voted for me as your representative in Sacramento. I just spoke with Tasha and congratulate her on retaining her seat and hope that she recognizes the strengths I bring to the table as a former federal law enforcement agent and a current mental health therapist. I hope to build on what our campaign has begun and am open to working with my former opponent on legislation that reflects the needs of the district.
While running as a Republican in California is typically seen as a “dark horse” I have faith in the future of this state. It is a great state: Let’s make it GOLDEN again! The future is open, and it shall be what we make of it and while I do not know what tomorrow holds, I do know who holds tomorrow. Thank you for believing in me as your candidate.
