Republicans Mike Morasco, Tina Inscoe, and Joe Garcia have officially been elected to the Escondido City Council.
Morasco is the lone incumbent of the three, being re-elected to represent District 4 on the Council. He is largely responsible for the city’s balanced budget and has fought diligently against tax increases. Beyond that, Morasco’s support for the Escondido Police Department was well received by voters, who are excited to see improved public safety in the years to come.
Inscoe is the winner for District 2, replacing John Masson, who tragically passed away earlier this year. Inscoe’s campaign features strong support for businesses, police, and firefighters, which will be crucial to promoting economic growth and public safety in the Escondido community.
Garcia was elected to represent District 3, replacing Democrat Olga Diaz. He is concerned about the fiscal responsibility of Escondido and will work to ensure that taxpayer money is used efficiently and effectively. As Police Chaplain and a member of the department for 15 years, Garcia has a unique understanding of Escondido, and will be an excellent advocate for his constituents.
These victories re-establish Republican control of the Escondido City Council, which is now prepared to focus on fiscal accountability, economic growth, and public safety. Republican leadership will enhance the vibrant Escondido community, allowing citizens to enjoy the prosperity they’ve worked so hard to achieve.
