The World Health Organization has not reversed its stance and is advising leaders around the world against implementing lockdowns to combat COVID-19, a stance that conservatives have held for months now.
Dr. David Nabarro of the WHO said, “The only time we believe a lockdown is justified is to buy you time to recognize, regroup, rebalance your resources, protect your health workers who are exhausted, but by and large, we’d rather not do it.”
This puts California and other Democrat-controlled states at odds with the newest guidance. In fact, California recently implemented a health equity requirement that will keep lockdowns going on for even longer.
Meanwhile, states like Florida have all but completely reopened, allowing their economy and citizens to flourish and get as close to normal as possible. Some states, like South Dakota, never even implemented lockdowns to begin with. Both states are doing very well, while states like California, New York, and Illinois are suffering from destroyed economies, high unemployment, and increased mental health issues as a direct result of their lockdowns.
“We in the World Health Organization do not advocate lockdowns as the primary means of control of this virus,” Nabarro added. “Lockdowns just have one consequence that you must never, ever belittle, and that is making poor people an awful lot poorer.”
President Trump proclaimed the announcement by the WHO as a win and confirmation of his long held position with regard to lockdowns.
The World Health Organization just admitted that I was right. Lockdowns are killing countries all over the world. The cure cannot be worse than the problem itself. Open up your states, Democrat governors. Open up New York. A long battle, but they finally did the right thing!

If Democrats were consistent or serious about their demand that we “listen to the experts,” then surely they will reconsider their insistence on lockdowns. That is, if they actually “believed in science.”
