Written by Nicholas Vetrisek

Barry Leonard is the Republican Party of San Diego County’s endorsed candidate for Poway City Council District 2. He is currently the incumbent candidate and if re-elected, will continue his excellent service for the City of Poway.

Leonard is deeply dedicated to the Poway community. He has demonstrated this by voting to build affordable housing for Seniors, as well as a new Poway Community Center that will also serve as a Senior center. He was also responsible for organizing the Espola Road cleanup, in addition to helping maintain roads and other critical infrastructure.

Barry has also done many other great things for Poway, such as continuing the effort to build the Mickey Cafagna Community Center which is currently under budget and ahead of schedule. He has also been a proponent of building Villa de Vida, which is affordable housing for developmentally disabled adults.

Barry Leonard has clearly shown his commitment to serving the City of Poway.  He has been endorsed by Poway Mayor Steve Vaus, Poway Deputy Mayor Caylin Frank, Poway City Councilmembers Dave Grosch and John Mullin, Poway Unified School District Vice President Ginger Couvrette, Poway Unified School District Clerk TJ Zane, the Deputy Sheriffs’ Association of San Diego County, the Lincoln Club of San Diego County, and many more.
