WHAT: Oceanside resident and Navy Veteran Robert Moore is scheduled to donate his 100th gallon of blood and receive a commemorative plaque from the San Diego Blood Bank.
WHEN: Monday, September 7, 2020. Moore’s donation appointment is at 8:15 a.m. (note – actual donation could start 20+ minutes after appointment time)
WHERE: San Diego Blood Bank Coastal Donor Center, 1910 Via Centre, Vista, CA, 92081.
NOTES: Moore has been donating blood for 40 years. He notes it’s been a “labor” to get to his 100th gallon, so it is fitting he will be donating on Labor Day.
Moore has arranged for two of his favorite blood bank staff members to be there as he donates his 100th gallon since they have been with him throughout his donation journey. One of the staff will do his pre-donation screening and the other will do the blood draw.
Now through Sunday, September 13, donors who donate at any San Diego Blood Bank donation location or mobile blood drive will receive a voucher for a FREE pint of Baskin-Robbins ice cream (while supplies last).
