Issa originally served in the 48th and 49th congressional districts for 18 total years, but chose not to run for re-election in 2018 as he was positioned to take a position in the Trump Administration. After that process stalled, Issa focused his efforts on securing the 50th Congressional District and returning conservative values to San Diego.

His opponent, Ammar Campa-Najjar is a radical leftist who worked for the Obama Administration and has shown support for such policies as Medicare-for-All and the Green New Deal. He has since denounced those policies, but like Rep. Mike Levin over in the 49th District, Campa-Najjar is merely pretending to be a moderate in order to get elected.

Issa has shown himself to be an excellent congressman through decades of service. If elected, he will honorably represent San Diego and the nation as a whole. He will continue to support the president in his efforts to build the wall, secure our border, rebuild our economy, and fight for American workers. Issa’s dedication on all of these fronts is why President Trump proudly endorsed him earlier this summer.

While Campa-Najjar will continue to support radical policies, Issa will put advance pro-America policies that benefit not just those in the 50th District, but across the United States.
