Following Brian Maryott’s most successful fundraising quarter to date, Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association has endorsed his campaign for Congressional District 49.
As a certified financial planner, Maryott understands how important good finances are to Californians. “More than ever, Americans need real tax relief — not temporary Congressional measures that must be renegotiated every few years,” Maryott emphasized.
He hopes to protect citizens from paying even high taxes, while ensuring Sacramento maintains fiscally responsible policy, and expressed a few of his policies in a recent statement.
“As congressman, I’ll work to provide peace of mind for all taxpayers by making permanent the doubling of the standard deduction and child tax credits; eliminating the taxation of social security benefits; and reducing tax brackets for low and moderate income earners,” Maryott explained. “I’ll continue to speak out against legislation from Sacramento that would suffocate California taxpayers and I will oppose any measures aimed at weakening Prop 13.”

Maryott is intent on protecting his fellow citizens from the ever-increasing cost of living in California, and to put money back into the pockets of those who made it.
“Simply put, families deserve to keep more of their hard-earned dollars, and they should no longer be forced to foot the bill for out-of-control spending by irresponsible politicians,” he concluded.
