(San Diego, Ca) Increase Safety Services, a local safety company, is offering a COVID-19 Workplace Training Safety Course for all businesses who were impacted by the COVID-19 shutdown. The overwhelming impact of new safety standards, guidelines and regulations has introduced a new reality to business owners and employees and Increase Safety Services is looking to help create a seamless transition into a new norm.
The COVID-19 Workplace Safety Training course is designed to help employers and employees have a better understanding of COVID-19 and ease the process of reopening their business from a safety standpoint. The course will help businesses reopen by focusing on three topics:
- How to develop and implement safety practices and policies
- How to maintain healthy business operations and a healthy work environment
- How to reduce transmission among employees and customers
The course is designed to be in accordance with available CDC guidelines and OSHA requirements at the time of development. The interim guidance is based on what is currently known about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and will continue to update as new developments surface.
“I’ve had the opportunity to speak with quite a few business owners and the common thing I keep hearing is the uncertainty and fear of having to implement safety standards that many are not familiar with,” Tony Rivera, CEO of Increase Safety Services said. “Being a business owner myself, I can understand the concern, which is why we created this course, to help business owners reopen with a peace of mind.”
Increase Safety Services is a firefighter owned company. Rivera is CEO and Director of Training for Increase Safety Services and is currently a firefighter for the City of San Diego Fire Department. The COVID-19 Workplace Safety Training course is taught by Active Duty Firefighters and First Responders who have been on the front lines of this pandemic and have extensive training on how to deal with this disease.
“After being a firefighter for 20 years, my heart and mind is naturally designed to see and create safety awareness,” Rivera said. “Deciding to launch this new course was a no-brainer for me. I get to use my skills to help others have a peace of mind during a difficult and confusing time.”
A portion of the proceeds will go to helping local organizations with COVID-19 relief. Everyone who is trained through the COVID-19 Workplace Safety Training Course will receive a free mask.
