San Diego has done an incredible job of rallying behind our first responders during the COVID-19 crisis. No one embodies this spirit of community better than Joe Leventhal, who has been working to support the San Diego Police Department throughout this crisis. Recently, he helped provide lunches from Wokou Ramen for officers at a local station.
As a reminder, our 1st responders & healthcare workers don't have the luxury of working from home. To thank our @SanDiegoPD, Erin and I bought lunch for the 30 officers at one of our local stations. Thanks to @wokouramen for providing discounts to law enforcement! pic.twitter.com/sybJRQoY7z

While reaching out to first responders, Joe has also been listening to the people. He recently launched a website providing resources to San Diegans in light of the current pandemic. San Diego Together connects people with reliable updates, ways to give back to their communities, and help for those who need it.
His work with first responders healthcare workers, San Diego Food Bank, and other organizations across San Diego has made all the difference over these last couple months.
Leventhal has been one of our paramount leaders during these trying times. Watching him be such a vital help to our community is proof enough that Joe understands what people need, and is willing to lend a hand wherever possible.
