Assembly Bill 5 (Gonzalez) has taken careers from thousands and has created a state of financial stress. It has stripped people of their livelihoods, their income, and their opportunity to earn an honest living because Lorena Gonzalez and Sacramento Democrats refuse to believe Independent Contractors and Freelancers are careers. It’s time to GET RID OF IT.
Truckers, translators, medical professionals, journalists, women, single and stay-at-home parents, people of color, LGBTQ+ and many more are being exploited by this bill because it has devastated their right to earn an honest living. Ride-share drivers, especially those who are retired, do not want AB 5 because it takes away their opportunity to make extra money. AB 5 has made living in an already expensive state even more difficult, especially for lower income residents. It’s time to GET RID OF IT!
GIG economies provide flexibility to many honest, hard-working folks.
EXEMPTIONS exist, but only for special interests who lobbied for them.
TOGETHER, we can fix this!
REPEAL of AB 5 is needed to restore people’s livelihoods.
INDEPENDENT contractors are no longer in control of their work product.
DEMOCRATS in Sacramento are responsible for the end-result.
OUR legislators in Sacramento don’t see gigs as “real jobs” but I do.
FREELANCERS are being treated like common criminals.
I will fight for you for a full repeal; to restore your dignity in your profession.
TOGETHER, we can bring back common sense in Sacramento.
