Senator Patricia Bates to Present Bill to Restore “Opt-in” Voter Registration at DMV

SACRAMENTO – Senator Patricia Bates (R-Laguna Niguel) will present her Senate Bill 57 on Tuesday that would make voter registration an opt-in process at the DMV, which would prevent some of the problems reported by media outlets over the past two years such as inaccurate party registrations and the registration of non-U.S. citizens.
