(San Diego, CA) – The San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce today announced its endorsement of Joe Leventhal for City Council, District 5.
“Joe knows what it takes to start and grow a small business — he’s committed to supporting policies that keep our local economy moving,” said Jerry Sanders, President and CEO of the Chamber. “On the council, Joe will fight for bold solutions to tackle homelessness, infrastructure, and fiscal reform. We fully support Joe Leventhal for City Council.”
Joe has already been endorsed by San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer, current district 5 City Councilman Mark Kersey, former district 5 Councilman Carl DeMaio, Councilman Scott Sherman, retired San Diego Police Chief Shelley Zimmerman, homeless advocate Father Joe Carroll, and numerous other local elected officials, civic leaders and organizations.
“I am proud to accept an endorsement from the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce,” said Leventhal. “I will always support policies that enhance San Diego’s business environment and will work hand-in-hand with Chamber partners to improve our streets, reform our budget, and expand our efforts to reduce homelessness.”
Once elected to the San Diego City Council, Joe will prioritize solutions to reduce homelessness, enhance public safety, and expand road repairs. Joe believes that bold, collaborative leadership, as he’s demonstrated throughout his life, is the best way to approach San Diego’s persistent challenges.
The 5th District includes the communities of Black Mountain Ranch, Carmel Mountain Ranch, Miramar Ranch North, Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Encantada, Rancho Peñasquitos, Sabre Springs, San Pasqual, Scripps Miramar Ranch and Torrey Highlands.
