Mayor Kevin Faulconer Endorses June Cutter for State Assembly

San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer today announced his endorsement of June Cutter in the race for the 77th Assembly District

(San Diego, CA) – San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer today announced his endorsement of June Cutter, the Republican candidate running for California’s 77th Assembly District.

“June Cutter is a great example of the kind of common-sense Republican we need in our state,” said Mayor Faulconer. “June will fight for California’s middle class, transparency in government, and reining in out of control spending. I’m confident she will bring a fresh voice and new perspective to the capitol.”

When Kevin Faulconer was elected mayor in 2014, San Diego became the largest city in the United States with a Republican mayor. Faulconer’s agenda of fiscal responsibility, job creation, and common-sense governance has earned him a reputation for getting things done for the City of San Diego.

“I am extremely proud to have the endorsement of Mayor Faulconer,” said June Cutter. “His leadership here in San Diego is a testament to the common-sense approach to governing that I will take with me to Sacramento.”

Faulconer’s endorsement adds to the growing list of prominent elected leaders and organizations who have endorsed June Cutter for State Assembly. June has already been endorsed by the California Republican Party, the San Diego County Republican Party, the Associated General Contractors of San Diego, the Associated Builders and Contractors of San Diego, Senate Republican Leader Shannon Grove, Assembly Republican Leader Marie Waldron, and many other elected officials and community leaders.

The 77th District encompasses northern San Diego and portions of North County, including the city of Poway. It also contains the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. The District’s voter registration is nearly evenly split between Republicans, Democrats, and Independents.

June Cutter is an accomplished attorney, small business owner, proud wife to a former Naval Flight Officer, and a mom to two children. June is running for Assembly to stand up to Sacramento special interests and to improve the lives of California’s hardworking middle class.
