Santee Street Fair

On May 25, the annual Santee Street Fair took place next to the Santee Trolley Center. At the Republican booth, the Republican Women’s Group of both Lakeside and El Cajon Valley teamed up to recruit and register voters.

The booth registered new voters and re-registered voters who had moved or had a name change.  The women leading the booth were also recruiting new women, eager to participate, to join their groups. They also spread information about the Republican Party of San Diego County, including when and where their events take place as well as how people can donate their time and money by volunteering or joining donor clubs.

Along with many supporters and newly registered voters visiting the booth, Mayor John W. Minto, Councilwoman Laura Koval, and Councilman Rob McNelis visited and gave their support to councilman candidate Dustin Trotter (R-CA).

Overall, the fair was a great success. The booth registered many new voters and had a very positive response to their presence. Santee is in great hands under their Republican leadership and the Santee Street Fair is one example of the great things that occur with them in charge.
